High paying jobs with an Associates Degree?
Question:
Answer:
you could get an associate degree in science with a major in nursing. depend on where you live in the country and the type of facility you choose to work at (hospital, nursing home, private pratice etc..) you could earn about 55k - 70k your first years out of school.
I have heard that you can be making around $50,000 w/an AA in things like Respiratory Therapy, Dental Hygeine, X-Ray tech, and Ultrasound tech backgrounds...pretty good for a 2 year degree. I read in Reader's Digest a few years ago that some of those computer mechanics can make up to $100,000. I'm sure it's not immediately out of school, but it's better than a lot of degrees for only 2 years of school!
Try something in the medical or law field. Nursing or a paralegal would be good.
But look into more than just the money. These fields although the pay well and usually have good benefits they can be VERY long hours (especially nursing)
Depends on what you want to do with your life. There are som two year programs out there that pay very well in their fields, many of them in the meidcal field.
A coworker's son in his thirties just completed his 1st year of a two year program in imaging technology. When he is completed, he will be running MRI and other imaging equipment. from waht I understand, these jobs pay well and he can expect in excess of $70,000 a year after some experieince.
there are other jobs our there, as well. However, I can seay from experieince that a two year degree can even be un-necessary, althouhg times have changed a lot. I got my two year degree many years ago. I make a very good wage, but my degree has nothing to do with it. What I did was get education in skills taht my employer needed. Specifically, project management.
You can get project management training from several providers.you won't necessaily get a degree, but you will get certification which in some cases is even more desireable than a four year degree. It won't take you two years to get the certifiaciotn, either.in fact, you can do it over several weeks, if you get the right class schedule. Getting indpendently certified is a longer process, but also worth while. Project managers make good money as well...many i now are making well over $80,000 a year.
Good luck with your search.
