How can i pay for college if you want to go to an ivy league school?
Question:
Answer:
The good news is that a number of Ivy League schools accept students on a "Need Blind" admissions basis. This means that they will admit you into the school based on your abilities, but not on your ability to pay. They have good financial aid packages that are mostly grants (you don't have to pay them back) and a little bit of loans (you will have to pay these back).
So, I think your best bet is to focus on working hard in high school on your grades and extra-curricular activities, and rely on the financial aid system of the top Ivy League schools.
Good Luck!
Well...if you get good grades, then you could get a scholarship. I'm assuming you're in the US. There are programs to help you. You could also get a job and save up. There are also student loans out there. Good luck.
No extra money for the poor in this country! Your only way is to marry a rich person or steal it!! Poor people do not get to go to college!
you can get a student loan or finacail aid
Since you are a foreign national, you are not eligible for government financial aid at an Ivy or a state university. However, there are private scholarships and loans - you should go to your local library and ask for help in researching these sources of money. You'll be surprised how many very narrowly focused organizations are out there, giving money to children from Armenian backgrounds or to people who speak Quetchua, for instance.
Good luck!
This is a common worry for several students in America. Its a good idea to attend a community college for 2 years and keep a high Grade Point Average. That way you won't be spending thousands of dollars on an Ivy League and then if you keep your grades up, you can transfer to an Ivy League and apply for academic scholarships. You can also apply for grants or take a student loan, however, I don't know how easy that would be if you are not a citizen. But I believe it is worth looking into. Most colleges have these resources available in the Student Center.
