Question:
What's next, skipping high school altogether and going straight to college? This is absolutely rediculous.

Answer:
Well, you know USC, they probably bought his family a house like Reggie Bush.
Hey, whatever keeps the kid in line!
hahaha yeah, it is sad, but the kid is lucky many would die to go to usc. The worse thing is the dad who says it could get ugly and kids could get jealous, so why the hell did he announce it to the world. i am sure they could have kept it private if they tried, the school will definitely get slack for it. and what's next you ask? pigs will fly, i guarantee it.
Uh... YES!

He needs to go to high school! I shouldn't need to explain why...
dang im a junior and i havent got any scholarships to play basketball and i was one of the best in the district. he must be really good
haha gud i dea i think ill jump to the nba and play and start for the spurs take eva longoria and lern how to speak french
if they give him ascholarship that means he will have to do high school and need to keep it and USC will see him when he graduate high school. the kid has a basketball scholarship he needs to go to high school, 8th grade ball is different from high school and be hard to adjust to it. 5'10 145 pouns is too small and dont have what it takes to ball with bigger guys all season long if he could go straight but thats not possible. since every where you go you need a high school diploma to go to big schools and needs one year of college in order to play in the nba. the kid will play throughout high school and USC will monitor if he worth it
the only way to skip high school If thekid was a genius and have a academic scholarship then he can take a test to advance to college.
He could only skip HS altogether if he were going to a private school (like USC). The funny thing about this commitment is 1) This kid isn't particularly good- he's not in the 2011 top 50, 2) He doesn't live close to SUC, 3) Many of SUC's freshmen are overage- including 19 yr old OJ Mayo. The truth is he probably won't end up at USC. There's a good chance he won't pan out and they'll rescind the scholarship offer.

"Many would die to go to USC"- Yeah right. "I want to go to a terrible school in the middle of South Central" LOL

You can't sign a letter of intent (which is binding) until you are a senior in high school.

GO BRUINS!
yeah its me buddyy but i dont think i'm getting much playing time this year. :(
I'm not real sure of the particular incident you are refering to, but underclassmen can sign letters of intent to play at a college. I'm a Kentucky fan and we just had a sophmore in high school sign a letter of intent to play for us. A letter of intent means that you have agreed to play for a particular school and a scholarship is waiting for you when you are ready to attend.
that kid must be well gifted
