Can a College Graduate get a paying job at a law firm?

Question:
I am taking a year off from school before applying to law school and want to get some relevant experience.
I guess my question is what sort of position can someone with only a bachelor’s degree get within a large firm, and is it paid work as opposed to internships? I am hoping to move into a city to do this and would have to support my lifestyle.
Also any resources, websites, where I could look for a job would also be helpful. I found a few from an old question.

Answer:
Law library assistant/clerk jobs are a good option, also file clerk and mailroom. Robert Half Legal is an employment agency in the field.
Sure, anyone can get a paying job with a law firm. Since you have a degree, you can probably get a job as a paralegal.
Sure you can get paid. It may not be a lot but shop yourself around. I must say, however, lawyers are notoriously cheap.

I've seen lots of letters and resumes get filed in the trash. All county seats have law office clustered around them, hit the pavement.
