My daughter graduated high in her class, but you need to have a really high ACT score for good scholarships. She intends on studying equine studies & has a university in mind. Because lots of people graduate high in their class, the good but not amazing ACT score hindered scholarship offers of particular value. She is a hard worker and has found it discouraging to have worked so hard with limited offers. She works at our local barn with the horses there, has broke, started and trained two horses there. She also is doing an apprenticeship at another barn with a well-reputed trainer. We need to know if anyone knows of any equine scholarships available that she could look into. She needs some $$. She also studies Spanish and is good in English. I know there are websites with searches, but hoping someone may know of specific scholarships for equine studies. Any help appreciated. The school she wants to attend is in W. Virginia, private, & only offers min. $$, but wants her as a student.
