Is college really for everybody?

Question:
I'm in college now and can't pass math for the life of me and quite frankly I'm sick of school. I've changed my major a couple of times and now it's physical therapy and since I doubt I'll be getting a masters, I've settled for pt assistant (less math, less science). So can anybody pleeeease give me some good advice? I'll even settle for ditching school if you can come up with some decent paying jobs.I'm just tired of the stress and trying to live up to others expectations, it's time to do my own thing. Ok sorry if this was super long I just need a little help here. Thanks

Answer:
Bottom line: no, college is not for everybody. If you're honestly giving it your best but can't get the results you seek, it could be that you need to reassess your goals and find something that suits you better. If you're not learning, you're wasting your time and money.

But you need to ask yourself if you're truly sick of school, or if you're just frustrated because you can't do well in a few courses. I knew lots of people who couldn't do well in math, stats, science, or accounting. Some of them switched majors, got their degrees, and did just fine. Keep in mind that a lot of businesses just want a degree -- any degree. There are lots of jobs out there, and hardly any of them require multivariate calculus.

Finally, your college very likely has a career and counseling centre. Use it. There are people there trained to help you with exactly this kind of situation. You're paying for it whether you use it or not. So take advantage of it.
do not worry about your major.

but you must get under grad done.

English major is highly desirable because people can't write in general.

use resources. don't give up!
if you finished your college level, that's a very big advantage on you part. It's like when you were interviewed by a company, the employer can say to you: "WOW, this lady is a college graduate!", then they will start hiring you.

so, finishing college is a big diamond.

be inspired.

i hope this can help.
College is not for everyone.
Some people have learning disabilities. Others are just not smart enough.

Consider getting into 'outside sales'. This can be done in a wide variety of industries.

The key might be, since you are a female, to get a sales job in which you are mostly dealing with men.and make sure to dress attractively.

I worked in an electronics design firm. The design staff was all men. Thus, the smart distributors of electronic parts, they would like for us to design into our products, would send attractive women in, to try to convince (seduce) our engineers into using their parts.

You're a woman. Use that to your advantage.

Another occupation that pays well, if you can avoid getting into the drug side of it, is stripping.

Strippers can make a lot of money.seveal hundred per night.

If you did that, and socked away a lot of money in some investment accounts.like investing in the Dodge-Cox S&P500 fund, you could make big money while you are still young & attractive...then later, make your money by investing in real estate (using the money that you had been saving up) or some such thing.

good luck.
