I hear that ivy league colleges don't give scholarships, full or other, is this true??
Question:
Answer:
Harvard gives out grants, not scholarships. If you go to Harvard, and your family makes under $65,000 a year, you've got a full-ride grant. Same with Princeton. In Yale's case, it's if your family makes under $45,000 a year (as of last year. I don't know if that's changed recently). Some Ivies have scholarships, but most just do grants.
Grants are based on NEED, while scholarships are based on a certain talent on achievement.
Most ivy league schools offer grants and scholarships more so now especially to low income students. If the student has the grades, they see to it that they have the means to attend their university.
