Are army recruiters are selling their soul by convincing kids to join, all in the name of a christmas bonus?!?

Question:
Recruiters convincing kids to join the war machine, with promises of pensions and college scholarships to join the army, all in the name of a christmas bonus. Is that worthy of eternal damnation?

Answer:
A Christmas Bonus and Eternal Damnation.where have I been all I ever got was a few extra bucks a month
nope just a job...
Sorry... military members get paid what they get paid. There is no such thing as a Christmas bonus.

Try again.
Military Recruiters are salesmen plain and simple. They are trying to sell you the idea of joining the military. Basically they are the goverments used car salesmen. Just be smart when you sign on the dotted line and maybe talk to someone who has been in the military before you do anything.
The 'kids' still have a choice. The military is a great and honorable option, and completely voluntary. Those who join, and defend this great nation should and will be forever proud.

If certain individuals (recruiters) are more able to convey the message that the military provides not only an opportunity to serve a greater purpose beyond oneself, but also one than can make possible development of innumerable skills, then yes they should be rewarded for their efforts.
of course it is. they will never see or receive pensions, scholarships, or any bonuses.
well according to Kerry all the people that would fall for it are stupid anyway so I guess that makes it okay.....

and without our military we would be speaking German right now with no computer to type on and with your liberal agenda we are going to be dead or speaking arabic soon so who is the one that should be worthy of eternal damnation?
Recruiters and a majority of those serving in the military are not doing it for any bounses. We get paid less than our civilian counterparts for you put it hour to hour pay. We believe in what we are doing as those that joined and died for our country have done for the last 200 yrs. As far as pensions and college, what other agency can you serve that pays you a retirement after your faithful service or a period of time. I can tell you not many! you work you life away for 30 yrs and get a gold watch and there the door. The military teaches people a trade in life and if they choose to stay in they an learn more and get finicial support for an education. In the area of eternal damination, that is the call of each person, not the recruiter that showed them a different way of life. Each person is responsible for the decisions they make and acept the risk of those decisions. I have known kids that were in trouble with the law and joined the military and became a responsible adiult and citizen in the US. So I dont know what rumors you ahve been hearing, but you need to do your reasearch and find the truth for yourself.
Who are you? oh nevermind. You are one of those that loves the freedom but are to scared to buck up and fight for it.

Thanks,
Enjoy the freedoms given to you

Thanks for the nice comment in email ASKER...it just proves one thing. You are not MAN enough to hang with the men of this country...So, Have you served?? I have
You're absolutely correct. I think the "war machine" should be dismantled totally so that we can be attacked at any moment without fear of reprisals.
You're an a^sshole.
doing their job
Depends on what faith system is correct. If the atheists are correct, obviously nobody faces eternal damnation. Jesus is silent on warfare, but of course the old testament is not. A logical christian would conclude warfare is not desirable but permissable, and indeed, various christian denominations provide chaplains to the military. Now, the cult known as Al Qaeda would agree with you that eternal damnation awaits those who serve the great satan that is America.

But, as I'm a sucker for modern medicine, women who don't wear burkas, city skylines, and, um, beer, I have no problems whatsoever with the exercise of military force against Al Qaeda or their idealogical allies, regardless of how unpopular the current president is. Hopefully the next president will manage the war better. But we should not pretend for second we cannot fight it.
Government recruiters don't get commissions but privately employed recruiters do. The military does use private firms to recruit because it costs less and is more effective.

The troops do get that pay though so the recruiters aren't lying. After all it's up to that individual to choose whether they join or not.
