Can I get into university of maryland: college park if I pay extra tuition?

Question:
my grades kinda suck, but luckily, I'm filthy rich! so can I get into umcp if I pay them more money for tuition than they ask for? like they ask for about $7,000 for in state, would I be able to get in if I payed them $10,000?

Answer:
Ah...no.

No reputable institution is going to let you pay your way in. Pick up your grades, go to community college for a year - Montgomery College is outstanding - and then transfer.
No. Good schools would rather give FREE tuition to students with EXCELLENT grades. I don't know what grade you are in, but maybe you have some time to improve your grades. Since your parents can afford it, have them hire someone to help you. If it is too late, you will have to go to Jr. college for 2 years and apply for a transfer. Good luck!
haha no
uh... no.

what you should do instead, is go to whichever accredited university you can freshmen year. get your grades up there and just transfer to UM - college park either spring semester or sophmore year. transfering in is a whole lot easier than getting accepted in high school anyway.
