Ok, so iam a junior in college and have a question?

Question:
since i decided on my major a bit late, i am going to stay in college for an additional year, that makes five years total. My question is should i begin to look for a way to pay for my fifth year since i was getting financial aid and it will not cover my fifth year, and how should i go about looking for help, should i look for a loan, scholarships?

Answer:
If you stay for a fifth year you may be able to find some work with your faculty. Often there are tutoring positions available. Consider some work on campus to subsidize your expenses. If your expenses are covered now, why not get a part time job now and start saving that money to help in your final year? That way you will owe less money when you graduate.

Depending on your skills and area of study there may be scholarships, but usually scholarships are offered to students in the early years of their program.
There are a lot of great scholarships available on the site www.fastweb.com

Also, you can try to get a student loan from a bank - but the rates are pretty ridiculous. Depending on how high your tuition is, you might also be able to put it on a zero percent credit card. If you don't have credit, these are hard to come by though.

Try and get a good part-time job so that you can save up by then!
Obviously the person suggesting to use a credit card to pay for student loans doesnt know mmuch about credit..

On your credit report, a credit card is a revolving debt..(terrible for your credit)

A student loan is considered an installment loan (much better for credit)

This is what they are designed for.. If financial aid, scholarships, grants, etc dont conver it, you have the option of takin gout a student loan..

You wont have to pay on it until after you graduate, and once you do graduate, you can get up to 3 years forebearance where you dont have to pay as well...

This will be your best option because chances are you wont get enough money frm scholarships or grants..
