Would you be for or against citizens of the US having college paid via the government (100%)?
Question:
Answer:
against. That would mean those that have no dedication or ambition will waste tax dollars of the american people. Also those from families that can afford to put them through college are using my tax dollars to send there kids to school. There are so many opportunities to get school paid for free if you apply your self and put forth the effort to fill out dozens and dozens of scholarships applications, grants, etc...
As long as they all attend the University of Washington D.C.
I don't think so. When people control the money for something, they often try to force their 'agenda' on the recipients, and if all are trained to the same agenda, then free thought is mostly lost.
Against, people who pay for colledge are driven to actually do something, if we (the taxpayers) paid for it, we would be giving losers a free ride. My taxes should not pay for this, I pay more than enough already.
AGAINST!!!!!!!!!...
Since its the government that has allowed it to become so impossible to get anywhere in life without going to college and wast another four years sitting in classrooms making somebody rich, certainly not me, then yes, the government should pay for it I'm not totally against college education, but only where its needed in highly technical or scientific work. For the average person, I'm sorry but I think its a waste of time and money that most families just don't have and the government helping less and less. I'll say it again, its the government that wants everyone in college then yes, let the government pay for it.
Ok , but with strings attached , not a giveaway .
Strings :
1. Quit or flunkout , go to the military for 4 years active duty as an inlisted man .
2. Get your degree , spend 4 years doing public service or military service in your line of work . Pay grade , 0-1 .
3. Volenteers only.
4. Refuse to comply with the terms of your contract , go to prison for 10 years .
5. Advance degrees , same terms .
You want something from the taxpayer be ready to pay it back and give us our moneys worth .
I would be for it, depending on how much more taxes would be taken out of my paycheck, and as long as I'm not paying for slackers to screw around in college. a good GPA
Yes, for low income families.
Yes, I absolutely believe that anyone who wants to go to college, and has the ability and the intelligence to learn, and just can't afford to pay for it, should be allowed to go for free. But I believe that the choice of study should be left up to the person in question, unless he or she doesn't know what to chose, in which case they should be extensively tested in order to determine their apptitudes and interests.
NOTHING is paid for by the government. Everything is paid for by taxpayers.
Everyone getting 'government' money is getting Taxpayer money.
Private schools have been successful for many years due to minimal or no government interference. Put in additional levels of bureaucracy and the system would start to bog down immediately.
The governments constitutional job is to field a strong military.. That's it!!
