Do I have to get college credit to work a non-paying internship?
Question:
Answer:
no...you can do that
internship for what?
I am getting paid before I even start college for an internship. I'm sure there is nothing against it.
Yes, there are a ton of internships and they don't care if you want school credit or not. It's easier for them if you don't, then they don't have to fill out forms. I got a lot of experience from internships, and I used those experiences on my resume for years afterwards, so they're quite valuable in that way.
You can get school credit no matter if it's paid or un-paid. There is nothing in the employment law that prohibits this at all. Think of it this way...if you go back to school and you've already been out on the work force for a bit, you can get college credit for the work that you've done provided it can be put towards your degree. You just need to put a portfolio together. Hope this helps.
