I cant decide on a sport?

Question:
Hey everyone. Im very athletic and skilled in two of my favorite sports , Basketball and Football. I can't decide which sport I want to focus more on. I'm in high school and time is coming when I decide on colleges. I want a scholarship but I can't decide on a specific sport, But I don't want to play both. I think basketball has more excitement to it and is very fast pace (I like that). Football is hard hitting and I enjoy watching the contact and extremeness of it all. So can someone help me decide please.

Answer:
Basketball.. less chance of injury. A little easier on the body.
There are more opportunities in basketball, as it is worldwide. Football is only in USA and its league in Europe (for the NFL). Football has way more risk of injury, and on average, basketball careers are generally longer.
i think you should do basketball because i think it is better to watch football then playing nit because you could get hurt it that would be bad so i rather play basketball even to ask basketball is beter in health then any other sport
You have to decide on what you would want to do in college if you get the scholarship. Basketball isn't as punishing but does have a long season that is spread between semesters, so it takes its toll mentally on you as far as studies. Weigh in on who is recruiting you, take the sport that gives you the better school because you won't be an athelete competitively forever but can be an acedemic the rest of your life
depends on ur sckools basketball and football seson foucus on both more cances of geting into colage
my schools(shenly) team won the state finals in bastektball well i think idk well try em both dude
To me the only logical question to ask yourself is, which do you enjoy the most? I mean, my dad is a football coach and I love watching the games and to me football is more interstesting. I swim and do crew and I love swimming, its my life. I know if I had to decide between the two, I would pick swimming. Which one do you like the most, and if your honest answer is you like them both equal, then ask yourself the question, which one are you better at? If you are looking into a scholarship then pick the one you are amazing at and go with it! Just have fun with sports if worst comes to worst! Just play both! It's not to much stress on you and if you honestly enjor them both that much, then you should be happy playing both! Hope I helped!
While you are in high school, continue to play both. And find something to do in the spring, like track or baseball.
If you are playing well, you will get some recruiters looking at you in both sports, and you can weigh different offers and options.
Many of the best pro-players played two sports in college, and the skills that you can learn in one will only add to your abilities in the other. But football/basketball doubles in college are very difficult, and you would have to be excellent in both for any coach to allow it.
If you are looking at college scholarships, there are menay more football scholarships available than there are basketball.
Keep your options open as long as you can.
Definitely basketball. Football has too high of a risk of becoming injured. I know six very athletic people like yourself, and they all ended their careers my getting injured. Im an athlete in hish school myself, a swimmer, so, in my opinion, I think you should take basketball.
hay fu** you!!!!!!!!!...
If you enjoy basketball more play basketball. You can ALWAYS watch the contact and extremeness of football on tv! It's not like you can't play for fun with your friends, too.
You really shouldn't be choosing a sport at the high school level solely because of scholarship opportunities. You should be choosing one based on how much enjoyment you get out of the game.

A couple of things in your question don't make sense, you mention that you enjoy watching the contact and extremeness of football. To be honest your answer doesn't sound like you have ever played football on a competitive level. In addition, just wanting a scholarship is far from being close to getting one. If you are a junior that is close to scholarship potential, then you are invariably already hearing from colleges telling you that they are interested.

If you honestly are an elite High school athlete, I would recommend talking to your two coaches and asking them what are your odds of getting a scholarship or even which level you would be able to continue playing in college. Most good coaches can help get you aid or grants at Div 2 or Div 3 schools so that you can continue playing in college.

As someone else also mentioned I would probably recommend continuing to play both sports if you enjoy them. Schools like well rounded athletes.

And finally, before I get off my soapbox for the night - everybody please stop with the stories of how injury prone football is. Injuries do happen in football, but htey also happen in baseball, soccer , basketball and walking across the street. You cannot live life worried about getting hurt.
neither!!!!!!!!!... ballet really its better.
watch porn instead! this way its like basketball, but you shoot first and then dribble after.. get it? just try cheerleading..
