Answer:
I am a freshman at a North Carolina university and I am not having to pay for college simply because i knew how to get scholarships. All you have to do is take a trip your guidance counselor and ask for every scholarship form they have on hand. Then after you have those filled out and sent in go back and ask for more because many scholarship forms come out at different times. Do whatever you can; write letters, get recommendations; call scholarship committees, and request interviews. I'm sure if you are persistent in this and try hard you will do it with these simple idea's...Good luck!
Try FastWeb.com they have tons and cool one's too. Good luck in school!

Do you mean your Highschool doesn't offer scholarships or your college? Either way, it usually works out best if you confront a business or company you would like to work for one day and ask. That's what I did... I recieved a full tuition scholarship for engineering

There are several sources for scholarships besides the college itself. However, it is pretty competitive regarding getting scholarships since many are seaking them out. I do recommend having a few friends or family members help you with the essay part to see if your point is coming across good. It can help increase your chances of getting a scholarship.

First, have you applied to FAFSA. It will help tap into federal, state, and college need based financial aid.

Second, the public library offers a book listing scholarships that are sometimes not even listed on a website or a scholarship list website.

Third, search Google.com and Yahoo.com for scholarships based on your college major, race, ethnicity, and religion.

Finally, join several free membership scholarship websites. Most are updated on a regular basis. Most have a customized search based on the information. I will include several of them along with some resources that can aid in learning more about it.

Good luck!

Hi,

There are a lot of scholarships available. I suggest going to Google and conducting a search from there. I actually won a $5,000 scholarship about a year ago, and I recently found another contest by the same company for a $10,000 scholarship. It's free to enter, so there's no reason not to.
