Hang up as much as you can on plastic hangers. Put folded stuff that you can't hang up together and see it you need to keep all of it or can maybe donate some of it. Put the sock and underwear and bras in a small cheap plastic or cardboard dresser from Walmart.
My mom taught me how to do a "working wardobe" before college. It means you have ten pieces of clothing that all mix and match and I swear by it and I never wear the same thing more than once a week.

You could get a bunk bed, sleep on the top and hang clothes in the bottom. Or, since money is a problem, just elevate the bed on wood blocks to fit bigger boxes underneath.
Is there a goodwill or other thrift store nearby? I've bought dressers for $15.00 from them.
I got sum of the greatist tips for u...get boxes to store things under your bed. doesnt matter how tall the boxes r, because u can just get a pair of some pretty strong sciccors and cut them so they can easily slid in and out from under your bed. dont forget to cut a small hole on one side of the box 2 make it easier to pull out. if u wanna know sum more tips email me...keep your grades up college student

to either hang clothes off or set up a few baskets to fold your clothes in.
the baskets pull out like draws .. very handy for putting things away in tiny spots.
It might be helpful.
The only idea that came to my mind is to donate most of your clothes. Be honest with your self. Most of that clothes, you just keep it for a just in case occasion. The truth is, you always wear the favorite jeans, the favorite t-shirts and polos, etc.
Give away, concentrate in your studies and not on your closet.
