Question:
I am an african who moved to united states last year. I was enrolled into a highschool .My highschool GPA is presently a 3.8. but my problem is the ACT exam. I took the last October ACT, it was 22. I am now in the middle of some what to do now. I am planning on taking the december ACT (STANDBY TESTING). The ACT result has really delayed my college application. I donot know if to use the October ACTscore for applications or wait for December ACT. Wont it be late for any scholarship consideration because I cannot go to any college if I dont get a scholarship. The college I am considering are Purdue University. Can someone help me out

Answer:
If I were you, I would start thinking of going to a community college at least for the first two years. I did this and I have a masters now, and LOTS of people do the same..community colleges will give you the same education for the first two years and they are MUCH, MUCH Cheaper.
You don't need to get a scholarship to go to college, don't let anyone tell you different. You can also ask for grants, which is money that the goverment or private companies give you that you don't have to pay back..
As you can see, there are other things you can or could do if you don't get that scholarship you want. MANY MANY people have gone to college without a scholarships of any kind
