About gymnastics?

At what age do gymnasts retire from competing? I've heard people retiring and going to college on NCAA scholarships. Can you explain a bit more about NCAA and how you can receive this scholarship?

Thanks in advance.

Answer:
Retiring really depends on what kind of gymnastics you do. Healthy gymnasts usually compete until they're about 25. Many girls just do it through college and stop once they graduate. Some girls even retire earlier due to extensive injuries. It just depends. If you really want to know more about the NCAA, go the website, but also see if you can visit a college with a good gymnastics team. Talking to the coach and gymnasts can give you a lot of valuable advice.
Well there are college gymnasts and they usually compete until they're 23 however there are some (one gymnast Ive heard of) and she was 24 at the 2004 olympics so I guess it depends on the gymnasts
