Will Community College Tuition Be Reimbersed by the Nation Guard?
Question:
Answer:
I would see why not, when you get there ask the Veterans rep and they can help you out..
One of the best perks of joining the military as an officer is that they reimburse you for tuition, books, and even student loans! It does not make any difference if you attend a community college or a university as long as you are going toward your degree. Be sure to work with a counselor at your CC on an Ed Plan. A lot of CC offer Articulation agreements with universities that tell you exactly what classes you need to take to take care of your lower division work. By the way community college is real college... it is just less expensive and usually has smaller class rooms. The credits all count the same :) Hope this helps!!
Becareful, not every state does assist with National Guard Tuition Assistance. Your best bet is to call a NG recruiter. If they do its not a bad deal. I'm active duty Army. I get TA for college, GI bill if I get out. NG in some states has some great perks. I'm not sure about Virginia.
the national guard provide tuition assistance for college including 2yr colleges. but you must fill out the fafsa to see if you are eligible...this can vary from state to state. You should ask the recruiter b/c they can be reliable when it comes to education benefits or check out there website
