How do you recieve scholarship money for college? Is it in a check or some other way?
Question:
Answer:
That depends on the type of scholarship money that it is. Some payments go directly to the school. Others are given to students..and still others go to the school to pay for tuition and other items with the school then sending a check to the student for the remaining money. You can always do a quick search or send an email to the scholarship provider to determine how it will be paid. Some scholarships do not "stack." They will not be placed on top of other monetary awards.
It can come in many ways. It depends on the scholarship. They can pay your tuition directly to the college. They can setup an expense fund. They can give you a check directly. Etc.

Generally, scholarship money is sent directly to your school business office. But those who have financial aid (mainly loans) in excess of tuition and school expenses can receive book advances or a check.
A check usually! But sometimes they will post it toward your account and pay off your tuition to the school. Then they will distribute the rest as a check!
