A college's "ASKING PRICE", is it really just an asking price?

Question:
I found this college I want to go to that is $420 a credit. I have been told that this is just an asking price, and if you don't have much money they come down on the price. I am AWFUL at writing so please don't mention essays for scholarships :) I am terribly afraid that I will not be able to go to this college because of my financial situation.

Answer:
Unfortunately, the college tuition is not negotiable because the college has fixed expenses. However, scholarships, grants, and loans can lower the price of the tuition rate. The FAFSA form will help tap into need based financial assistance based on the family income and resources. An idea to get around your problem with writing essays is have someone proofread to see if the point is coming across well. Also, there are many scholarships out there for nursing students, and all you have to do is search Google.com and Yahoo.com to locate them. Good luck!
i have never heard of an "asking price" what kind of school is this?? the tuition is supposed to be non-negotiable. this school doesn't sound like its worth attending at all.
It depends on the college and how much they want you to attend their school. However, most colleges these days will not negotiate tuition fees.

Good Luck!
