Is the National Guards "College First" program right for someone in my situation?
Question:
-thanks a lot, Daniel D
Answer:
But make sure you kiss your commanding officer of the same sex after you gain your commission as a second lieutenat so that they can discharge you without you quitting. This way, you wont have to pay them back because you are trying to tell them that you are homosexual.
I'm not sure about the college first program but shooting a rifle isn't as hard as it looks. Just stay calm and keep your hands steady.
yeah, and the military NEVER lies.. I know people who have done this and never got their college funds! And some who got deployed as soon as they graduated..
Get student loans, nothing wrong with paying for your education yourself.
Do the Army Reserve Split Option instead or wait until you are a Senior and go Active Duty if you want to be a linguist. The College First option only allows the first two years, and if you get hurt, you pick up the cost of the college. There is not an option for being a linguist in the College First or Split Option program. Your training can not exceed 6 months. DLI is at least 6 months, up to 2 years for language school.
Fill out the FAFSA first and see what you get. Then go from there.
There are millions of scholarships online you just have to find them. For example my son who is left handed received a scholarship for being left handed. Crazy huh? Corporations want to give away money to make them look good, but more importantly it helps our kids (and us directly). My youngest son, a senior in high school, received a scholarship (only $350 though, better than nothing) from filling out this online survey http://www.freecollegescholarships.net/f... . Good luck.
