Reality is that the gift of $10 billion is actual payment for something - politics - they don't give anything away for nothing.
Our money pays for everything but our own healthcare. Billions are being thrown away in Iraq. The inferstructure in the USA is very poor. 10 Billion dollar gift to Isreal what are we getting back for that much money. Everyone over there getting their chance at becoming a million aire.

In answer to the question: America gives aid to many countries and causes, not just Israel. The support for Israel is primarily because she is the only democracy in the entire Middle East, and she provides America with vital intelligence info, without which the USA would be even more vulnerable to terrorism. Don't forget that many Israeli intelligence agents speak fluent Arabic and, at terrible risk to their own lives, live for long periods in Muslim countries, where they monitor groups like Al Queda.
It's also true that Islamic terrorist groups get a hell of a lot of money from Iran and Syria. When America helps Israel, she's just levelling the playing field in favour of peace and democracy. Israel is not a rich country and most of her budget goes on defence.

If you recheck your facts, you will find that what you're referring to regarding Israelis cheering is a video tape that has been proven to have been made by a radical Islamic group! chi guy , thanks for the question, but, I think what you are referring to is the actually $11billion given to Israel every year in a lump sum it is called the holo caust fund and amounts to $7,500,00 for each man woman and child in Israel, that was on T,V, ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO ,this does not include loans that will never be paid back nor grants given to Israel, nor the military equipment and munitions the U,S, gives them, just think, if I were a Jew in Israel with my wife and 2 kids I would start my year off with $30 ,000 U.S, dollars, plus England pays a price also and W, Germany pays them now they are trying to make E, Germany also pay,hmmm what are the requirements to become a Jew?? and as you said free college paid by the U,S, tax payers, I just wonder where this all would lead if some one started snooping? and aren't yo proud to be an American who supports Israel unconditionally while your children don't have proper clothing to wear to school etc, thanks to Aipac and our politicians,
