Question:
well i've been to ireland a lot, my dads from the west so we're always going back and forth for the family. i completely fell in love with it when i was like 7 and told myself i'd live there as soon as i had the option! i realized that, hey, i ould go and do the whole college thing there. i've applied to UCD and Trinity, i decided i want to stay in Dublin. i've met a good number of students through gaelic football, as i play it here in the US and they all say its great craic. but basically my question is to those of you who are in college in Dub or have studied in dublin: would it be worth it? i'd have to pay like $30,000 when Irish students only pay like 1000 euro and could get educated for way less here in america. but then i think of staying here and get really sad!! help me out!!
Answer:
I studied in UCD and yes it would most definitely be worth it. The whole experience of living abroad and spending time with people of another nationality is amazing.
Trinity and UCD are also both very reputable universities offering lots and lots of different courses.
I would say travel over to the two campuses and ask lots of questions even jst ask random people walking around, that way you will get a good idea of the atmosphere.
I now live with my American husband and our seven kids in San Diego, I love it here but going home to Ireland is priceless.
Good Luck
you obviously love ireland so just go for it! the experience will be unforgettable so in years to come you'll have completely forgotten about the money you spent and you'll just have all these amazing memories. it'll be worth it and you'll probably seriously regret it if you don't take the opportunity now...(I'm applying for UCD and Trinity as well, might see ya there lol :D)
