College scholarship?
Question:
Any extra tips will be greatly appreciated..
Answer:
I recommend using a variety of sources to locate scholarships to apply for consideration. It involves both the web and in the local community. All the sources are free.
First, fill out the FAFSA form. It will tap into need based financial assistance from the state and federal governments along with the college itself. It will also tap into the work study program.
Second, the high school guidance office has a list of local scholarships for current high school seniors to apply for consideration.
Third, the college admissions office and website has a list of private scholarships offered from companies and outside organizations. Sometimes a college major's website will list scholarships, too.
Fourth, the public library has a book listing scholarships with some not even listed on the web.
Finally, join several free membership scholarship search websites. A scholarship might be listed on one website but might not be listed on another one. Plus each one has its own resources and advice listed on it.
Good luck!
