My father was honorably discharged from service, granpa a veteran can i get college scholarships for that?

Question:
my grandfather is an air force veteran, my dad completed his four years as well. both are still alive. i dont live with either. i am 18 years old applying for grants/ scholarships, and i am wondering if i am eligible for any type of federal aid because of that. PLEASE HELP!!!

Answer:
I'm not sure about other states, but the University of California has a scholarship available for veteran's dependents. There are so many scholarships out there. Keep searching and most likely you'll find one (or more) that you will qualify for.
No. Only the Veteran has entitlement.
no only because u don't live with 1 of them like I'm 12 and I'm getting scholars right now because my dad was in the mil
What I found out recently is that for that to happen is that your father or grandfather (if he was your legal guardian) have a medical condition that is service connected and has died because if it.
The VA does have a program for veteran's dependents and it is called,
Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance Program (DEA)
Their link is http://www.gibill.va.gov/pamphlets/ch35/...

Also, you can check for other benefits that your father and grandfather may be eligiable for.

Good Luck
