What exactly is in a college financial package?

Question:
I have pretty much set my sites on a college and my family will probably not have enough money to pay for it all. So here is my situation.

I have received an $18,000 scholarship from that school already.

I have recieved CAL GRANT A, which will be given approx $9,907

totaling: $27,907

the cost for the school is about $43,000, that meants my parents and I have to find a way to pay for $15,093. (money which will be hard to pay from us).

MY question is,

What is in the financial package? is it just the CAL Grant, and my scholarship or will some more money be inclued as well?

*I have been applying to many scholarships, but I haven't received any notification from them yet.

thank you.

Answer:
It is a combination of scholarships, grants, loans, and work study. If your family make less then, lets say 40k a year then you will get tons of money from the colleges.
You should have received a letter from the school outlining what aid you are eligible for. After you filled out your FAFSA and sent a copy to that college, the financial office should have put together your aid package and sent it to you. Your aid will depend upon your parents income and assets. If you have any questions at all, call the financial aid office and ask them exactly what your getting in aid, and what portion will be out of pocket for your parents.
The financial aid package includes loans and grants.

Have you applied for federal aid yet? You could easily cover $15093 with federal aid. Apply at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
