What is tuition (college terminology)? what you pay for a semester? a year?

Question:

Answer:
Tuition is the fee you pay to the school for each class you take. Each school creates its own rates based on economic factors, like the quality of the school, costs the school incurs during your semester, services available to students, etc.

Tution is cheapest at Community College (there are probably thousands in the US), and most expensive at private, elite schools like Harvard and Yale. Basically, it breaks down like this

Cheapest to Most expensive
Small Community colleges
Medium COmmunity colleges
large community coleges
Public univiersities
Public very large, recognized, highly respected universities
Priviate Universities
Priviate universities that are highly recognized, like yale and harvard

In-state tuition is cheaper than if you live outside the state.

Good luck
how much money you pay the college for your education there
it depends on the university.. some charge per class, some per term or semester, and some for the whole year. if they dont specify though, you can assume it is per year.
Tuition is the cost of education. It is not specific to any time frame.
