Let's say, I have to take Physics 1 & 2 in College, and I paid High School College Dual Credit for 4 Hours?

Question:
Do I still have to take Physics? I really don't get how this hour thing works, since high school isn't really like that. In my physics class (I'm a junior), I can get 4 college credit HOURS for the whole year and I'm going to pay that...

What does this mean? How would this help me?

Answer:
To graduate from a college, you need a certain number of credits. i.e. Rutgers Univ. requires 120 credits to graduate. A credit is determined by the number of hours you meet a week per semester. A semester is usually half a school year. i.e.Physics may meet twice a week for an hour and a half and have a third time for one hour, equalling 4 credits. The word credit is short for 'credit hour'.

Your class is the equivalent of one semester of physics, meeting 4 hours a week, at a college. It looks good to have some credit before you go to college, just be sure that the college you are going to accepts trasfer credits from your high school.
