as a single parent u should be eligible for some grants. Check w/ finacial aid at your college to see whats out there for you.
File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. As a single mom with dependents on one income, you could very well qualify for federal, state and institutional grants. It's free to file at www.fafsa.ed.gov. When you file, you'll get an EFC. Generally, an EFC below 4000 is a good indicator that you will recieve at least some grant money. but you do have to be currently admitted to a school to be awarded the aid. So apply now, talk to your financial aid office to see what you qualify for. Schools have priority deadlines and many are prior to March 1st. Missing the deadline could mean you might miss out on alot of free money. so go file now!
