Question:
i got accepted there with their top scholarship, the marquis, which also includes special study abroad and cultural events. i'm really impressed with how personal and caring the college seems to be, from sending alumni to talk generally about college with all applicants, to personalizing my acceptance letter, and quite a few other nice things. i'll probably go there, but i'm just very excited about it and want to know both the pros and cons of being a Lafayette leopard.
Answer:
This probably won't be very helpful, but I'll put it out there anyway.
My dad graduated from Lafayette waaaaay back in the 60s. He got an engineering degree, and went to Lafayette at night, while he worked by day.
From what I understand, he got a very fine education at Lafayette. I'm sure the school has grown and evolved over the years, and it's probably even better.
Also, you might like the area. There are lots of interesting things to do around Easton. And you won't really be that far from NYC, the Jersey shore and the Poconoes.
Congratulations on your scholarship! You have reason to be excited and proud.
