My husband works full time, but we're still not making enough money! Potential careers sans college degree?

Question:
We just got married not too long ago. I'm working in a call center overnight, and going to nursing school during the day. He works full time at a distribution place, but our annual income is still not enough to afford some of the things we want to do (like start a family, buy a house together).

We're not asking to be rich.we just want to live a little bit better. But neither of us have the financial security to stomach another student loan, so he decided not to go to school. I don't want to insult him by insisting that he apply for 2-3 jobs...but what type of jobs pay well without the employee having a college degree? Trade work? Technical work? He's a hard working man...and would do anything to put food on the table for his family. We just can't afford to put him through college now, and I'm at the end of my rope.
Hi! I believe he needs to go to university! I make $200 per hr from being a doctor! If thats what he wants to be! Or open buisness!
Oh ye! a snowplow driver here gets $75 per hr!
Maybe some sort of construction job? Or a government job like the Department of Transportation? Turnpike tellers make good money. He could look for jobs that are known for their unions like a large car manufacturer or any large manufacturer for that matter that employs from a union. How old are you two? Maybe he could join the military.
it's not about the jobs, it's about you being selfish and in a hurry to get what you want. the time isn't right, wait till you finish up nursing school, get a little more established, then you can go for your goals of a family and house, but not now...
consider cutting some of your expenses. my mom was a single mom of 2, working one mediocre paying job and she owned her own home.

remember, manicures are not nessicary. its only $10 to color your hair at home rather that $50. babies dont need to wear high priced clothes. they dont care.

look at what you are pissing away money on. figure out what to cut out.

according to the canada revenue agency i am under the poverty line. i think i am doing fine. i have enough to live, to keep my hubby and dog healthy and fed. its all about what you do with the money you have.. save first if you have to.
