Can I get a job working with computers if my major in college is communications? What kind of job could I get?

Question:
My major in college is communications (minor print journalism) and the classes I am currently taking are revolving around writing for a newspaper, but I need an internship for the summer and it is almost impossible for me to find any writing internships, so I know it is going to be hard to find a writing job too. I would like to get a government job since they tend to be better paying, so if I can't find a writing job when I get out of college or don't want one, could I get a different government job instead, i.e. a job working with computers? What are some specific jobs working with computers that I could get?
