Any suggestions on how (or where) to look for a good paying summer job for a college student?

Question:
I've tried MonsterTrak and other things like that- but it seems like most of the opportunities are not realistic for me or where I live...I need a way to find a job that will pay better than flat minimum wage- and will also help me build skills and my resume.

Answer:
I would start your search for a job right at your college. Since many students leave for the summer, many administrative and service positions become available.
You can easily find good job online.

Its a policy voilation of yahoo if i post any link here.

I'm pretty much in the same situation. I'm currently looking for something that will fit my overall career objective, but it's hard. Most of the opportunities are in retail and that's not the route I'm looking to go.

If you have a Student Employment Services on your campus, go to them. Sometimes employers will seek summer help from college students and a lot of times it's really decent work. You can also try for different positions on campus--such as student housing, working summer orientations, computer labs, or any office positions.

(Note: they may not have vacants at this very moment, but summer is fastly approaching and many students will be gone for the summer and they'll need to fill those positions.)

Hope this helps!
I would like to suggest, that you can try for part time job like working in a shop, or pizza shop or you can try on on line working on the net. But you need to pay if you want to work on the net, there are so many sites like pay4clicks and more.
A good paying summer job would be in sales. You earn lots of money quick. If you don't mind closing on an on-line marketing system and using the phone then call this number for a phone interview. 801-305-9221. They will train you and the money is excellent. Whether this will help you build your skills, I don't know because you did not mention what your major is. Good luck.
