What Should I do about college?

Question:
I know I asked this question earlier but...

Well, I'm not starting now I’m just 16. But I had got an Art scholarship in the city that's 45 minutes away from me, and I want to go to I.C.A University of Connecticut of Fine Arts but... My crush lives in the SAME city were I got the scholarship. But anyway, I also want to go to CA, NY, PA, and FA and maybe Texas for the reason that they have a lot of art schools. But what should I do! I love my scholarship but… it’s to close to home for me. I’ve got a good GPA, its 3.5 -A!
My mom says I can always meet a guy in college anyway!
So what should I Do, I don’t want to do that, he’s the very first boy I ever talk the longest on the phone to him, besides my friends!
(Please say nice things), thanks!

P.S other colleges are asking me to visit there schools!

Answer:
You should definitely go visit other schools, and you are fortunate because you do have time before you have to make a final decision about college. If you can afford to do some travel, go visit schools in other parts of the country. If you can't visit ones that are nearby and have good art programs. Even if it isn't a school you think you want to attend, doing some visits will help you be confident about making a good choice.

Going to the schools, seeing the work being done, talking to people, and getting a feel for the place is hugely important in helping you choose the best school for you. Try to find out specifics about the program you want to focus upon because that can vary dramatically. Let's say that School A has great reputation overall and offers you a big scholarship, but their art department is poor. Or you want to study photography and it turns out the photo program is the weak area of the art department at School B. Or School C has a fantastic program, but they aren't offering you quite as much financial support. Where would you want to go? See why it's important to visit and research and compare?

Not to knock your crush, but choosing a school just to be close to him is the wrong reason to choose a school. Good luck!
First of all you have to consider your financial situation. Can you afford to go to an out of state school? Will you be getting other scholarships? If you can afford to go to an out of state school and/or will be receiving scholarships, i say look into those other schools. If not, then I would suggest staying at the school that gave you the scholarship. Second of all, your mom is right. You can meet a boy in school. If this boy is so great, you guys will still talk when you're in school. I've had a very close guy friend (and yes, i used to have the biggest of crushes on him) since 7th grade and we still talk even though we go to schools on opposite sides of the country. And remember, you're going to school to get an education, not to have a boyfriend.
dont ever, EVER go to school someplace because of a crush. Pick it based on whats best for you. this is your future. He isnt guarenteed to be.
i will be so happy if i got a scholoship to go to college college is so expensive and u want to give it up because of a crush never put u life in a man hand he will hurt u in the end so make the right choice ur education comes first not a man
