Question:
I am a high school freshman but I am already looking into researching about colleges, scholarships, and the like. I've been given the advice to start early so that when I become a junior or senior I won't have to struggle so, that's what I'm beginning to do. I would like to go to school to be a child psychiatrist and I would like to know some great colleges for psychology majors. ~Thanks~
Answer:
If you want to be a psychiatrist, you need to go to med school, so you need an undergrad program with a strong pre-med program.
If you want a strong psychology preparation, most schools with graduate training programs are a good choice as are strong, small private liberal arts colleges.
Michigan State University
Top public universities with medical research, medical training program and university hospital should also have a good psych program.
