Nope, it shouldn't effect it at all. The only thing that should matter is your grades and your old SAT scores. Also colleges tend to look at your old grades from previous colleges. You should apply for FAFSA it's a very useful thing. Ask your college finacial aid counseler, they will walk you through it, and it helps you get government grants and determines how much finacial aid you will get in general.

It should not affect if for the school. It would mean that you would use the FAFSA to declare your own income instead of your parents.
