Anyone know where I can find good reliable website to find college scholarships?
Question:
Answer:
There are some good database searches out there that will help you start your search- I've listed some below for you.
It's also a good idea to look in some scholarship books-- it takes a little more effort, but there are listings in there that you can't necessarily find online. You can go to your local bookstore or library and check the selection. Scholarship books usually have more than one index, so you can search by your academic interest, the state you live in, the month of the deadline, etc-- it helps you focus your search.
Also, keep your eyes and ears open in your community-- sometimes groups you (or someone in your family) are already affiliated with might offer scholarships. (For example, many companies have scholarship programs for the children of their employees. Unions, too. So look around.)
Below are some good websites to help you get started. A lot of people are on fastweb, but I've found that some of the other databases have better search forms. Good luck!
I would head to your library/bookstore and get a scholarship book. It will be more up-to-date and accurate than most websites. Even sites like FastWeb.com often has some inaccuracies.
www.fastweb.com
www.scholarships.com
www.collegeboard.com

www.fastweb.com
www.scholarships.com
I use these two personally and I have found and applied to many scholarships through these two websites.
fastweb.com
if you are an international student
www.internationalscholarships.
