Is it possible to send my fafsa to another college now?

Question:
I am a sophomore, and I filled out the fafsa. However, my award letter this year was really poor, so I am looking for a cheaper college to go to, one that I can afford to pay out of pocket (I already have a insane amount of private loans).

In my fafsa I only chose to send the results to my current college; can I submit those results to another college now?

Please do not advise me on how to find scholarships, or tell me to work full time -- I already do, but it's still not enough.

Thank you for any information you may have,

~ Yumi

Answer:
Go to http://www.fafsa.ed.gov and click on "Make corrections to a processed FAFSA" (towards the lower right of the page). You will need to log in with the same PIN that you used to file in the first place. Once you have followed the instructions, you should be able to view and change your FAFSA results, INCLUDING the sections towards the end of the FAFSA that asks for your "school codes." Simply add the code for the new college that you want to attend and the FAFSA results will be sent to that school in a few days. You might want to follow-up wit them, though, to make sure that they got them.
Yes, you can add a school code to your FAFSA at any time. Simply go online and use your pin to do so. I hope you find the school that's right for you!

Also, if you know you are not going to the first school, make sure you notify them that you will not be attending. It will save them from doing a lot of paperwork and it will save you from getting annoying reminders in the mail.
