Has anyone heard of a USJUVHL?

Question:
has anyone heard of a us juvenile hockey league? I have just finished up playing Jr.A hockey and I am in a transitional phase, i got invited to try out for 2 NCAA D3 schools and one D2 school none are scholarships, but I cant afford college. has anyone heard of this league? thanks, or should I just go and take an offer to tryout for a ECHL team in long beach?

Answer:
I'd take the ECHL tryout too. Most of the teams are affiliated with an NHL club, so you would get the chance to play against some quality players if you make the team. A lot of players in the NHL went through the ECHL before making it to the top, so I'd definitely make the most of the ECHL tryout.

(FYI: Long Beach is an affiliate of the Boston Bruins)
i'd take the offer to go to long beach, lots of nhl players hang out there during the off season like rob blake, drury, and chelios. hopefully chelly will be out there shortly
Neither are going to be an ideal option. I would find a way to get the money for college.

I played USJuvHL and it's a complete joke. Any Midget AAA team will destroy any of the Juvenile teams. Teams show up with anywhere from 6-15 players a game, most of which aren't on the roster. The Commish makes promises of expansion and whatnot, yet the league has had 4 teams both years now. None of the teams practice. It's pretty much glorified beer league.

As for the ECHL, the Ice Dogs are folding next season.
