What university is known for its outstanding music program?

Question:
I'm planning for college, but I'd like to learn academically and everything, but i also want to be part of a marching band program that is outstanding. If that is not possible, I'd still like to know what colleges are famous for concert band and piano scholarships. I'm a freshman in high school and feel left out because i don't know what college I want to attend. U of L is in my backyard, but i don't like their marching band very much. Your help would be appreciated.

THANKS!

P.s. is there a specific fraternity that is musical? I've always wanted to be in a fraternuity.

Answer:
Do you want to go to a conservatory or a university?
Conservatories only offer music programs, unike a university you've got all different academics.
*As far as realy good conservatories:
Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, Mannes, Boston Conservatory, New England, Cleveland, Curtis

*Universities:
University of Hartford (Hartt School of music)
Rice
Yale
NYU
JMU
Indiana (@ Bloomington)
U Michigan
USC
I'd look at these school's websites!

There are plenty of music frats...any school with a strong music program will have them! And don't worry...you've got plenty of time to figure out where you want to go to school...you're still a freshman! Good luck!! =)
