Can I still get the Same academic acknoledgement from Colleges if I homeschool?

Question:
I want to start homeschooling so I can go at my own pace and do better and try to graduate a year early! I will still go back my Senior year to get my remaining credits. If I do this, will it hurt my chances of getting scholarships and getting into go colleges? I will still be enrolled in a High School just doing the material at home with my grades being reported by the High School? PLEASE HELP ME

Answer:
Actually, colleges seek out home schoolers now. People have been doing it enough now for studies to show it works well. My Daughter is planning on dual enrolling her Junior and Senior Year at the local college. She will graduate High school with her AA degree. I would look into if that is a possibility in your state. We are in FL. Check this article as well.

well i am 12 and in a real collage course. That a good answer for you
Since you will still be enrolled at your high school, you are still technically a public school student, not an homeschooler. The college won't know any differently since they'll be getting your transcript from the high school. Even if you were not going through your high school, colleges would still consider you for admissions and scholarships. Most colleges recognize that homeschoolers tend to do very well academically and socially.
You absolutely can do that. You don't even need to go back your senior year, if you're only worried about credits. I've been homeschooled 12 years (I'm graduating next Saturday) and I'm graduating 2 years early. A great thing to do is dual-enrollment at your local college. I did that for two years, and I've got 24 college credit hours, and I took enough Spanish that I will be halfway done with my Spanish minor!! Tests show that homeschool students do better on Standardized testing, so by homeschooling correctly, you might even BETTER your chances of getting scholarships because of higher SAT scores.

But that's if you actually homeschool. What you're describing sounds more like distance learning public school, in which case none of what I said matters!
