What are some high paying jobs?

Question:
Im 18 and going to college. Im not completely sure what I want to do for a carrer. I dont have a major yet. What I do know is that I want a high paying job $150,000-250,000+ a year and plenty of time off to use the money. I also want to be happy with my job. I am thinking the air force and becoming a fighter pilot, but im still not sure. Any ideas of fun high paying jobs with lots of time off?

Answer:
Here is a site you can go: http://www.salary.com/
(go to job salary by range six figure job)
But I have to tell you, your idea of such job is gonna take lots of effort on your part to achieve. If you do well, you probably have your dream job by late 30s or 40s. That doesn't mean it's not possible to earn a lot young.

Be a doctor. ER doctors get paid well, and have flexible schedules.

Lesson 1: you'll never get rich working for the money. Find what you love, help as many people as you can and give away as much as you. The money will find you. Guaranteed.

Lesson 2: you'll never get rich working for someone else. Making BIG money means you have to establish leverage (even true for rap stars whose leverage is record sales and drug dealers whose leverage is an army of punks selling for them). If you are working for someone else, guess what, YOU are THEIR leverage and THEY are getting rich. Nothing wrong with that as the world is full of people who just want a job...but it might not be right for you.

Lesson 3: If you make $X, spend < $X

Lesson 4: When you are at the end of the adventure you call your life, you will not remember your salary...you will not remember your bank balance...you will not wish you had one more dollar. You will, hopefully, remember the loves you had, the lives you changed, the people who changed yours and you would give everything you have for one more minute.

I hope you find the thing that turns you on and turns you up! That, and really only that, is what will drive your success.

Best of luck to you!
