I moved to Houston to pursue my dreams, now life is making me go back home..What should i do?

Question:
I moved to Houston to study Interactive Media Design at the Art Institute. I don't have a place to live now and rent is too expensive, i have a job but don't make enough since I am a full time student. I am unable to get loans and Financial Aid is not enough. I am an excellent student and don't want to give up so easily, but the situation is embarrasing, depressing, frustrating, I don't know what to do. I miss my family and friends but I want to finish what I like to study-Arts. I am 21 years old and want to help my family by graduating from college. I have scholarships but they are not enough. I really don't know what to do, please can anyone give me some advice.

Answer:
Speak to the people in the financial department or your councellor because sometimes people donate money to the school to assist students going through hard times but they will not just come up and tell every student cause you know what that would result in. Speak to them, let them know you are on the brink of dropping out because you can't pay for school and ask if you can get a grant. I got one of these when I was in college so I know they have the money there.
Can you transfer to a cheaper school?Or look for a place to live in a suburb of Houston that might be cheaper?Or how about work study?Don't give up on your dreams-never give up!!!
Well it depends in Houston where you want to live. Yes some places have super high rent but other places are quite affordable. What area of town do you want to be in? The Galleria area is quite expensive and the suburbs are affordable but kinda far from downtown. I live in Houston and would be glad to help.
Well i am sorry for your problems, can you find somewhere cheaper to live, even if you have to drive a little ways, try something like that for a while, it is worth a try, dont give up on your school, where there i a will there is a way. Just hang in there
