What are some good scholarships?

Question:
I know fastwebs and careers in college are good sites to find them.. but i'm lookin for some worth-while scholarships that don't require an essay over 1000 words.

Answer:
That's a tough question... obviously, it's easy to try online scholarship searches. I think that College Toolkit is a really good one. http://www.CollegeToolkit.com

You should talk with your guidance counselor. They may have some ideas for local scholarships (probably smaller amounts, but tend to be less competitive). Also, contact the college you are or plan on attending.

Think about what clubs you are a member of, what organizations your parents or grandparents are members of.

This should help get you started.

Good luck!
Try a Pell Grant.
Don't be lazi! Essais are fun!
soccer.
Become a good athlete
Typical, you want money but do not want to put any effort into getting it.

that might help
There are lots of other free scholarship searches online. Here are a couple more to check out:

Put the time and effort into both searching AND applying for the awards. If the award requires a 1000 word essay and you end up with $1000, the dollar a word payoff doesn't sound like such a bad deal.
