In America, you have to pay higher out-of-state fees to attend many public colleges and universities outside one's home state of residence? Is this true in Canada?

I don't believe so! Tuition varies from school to school, but I think the only people who pay more are from out of country!

My school only charges extra fees for international students.
if it's from another country.. yes, but province is just different requirements..
It's the same in Canada. It's because the Provincial (like a state) Government subsidies part of our tuition. If I attend a University outside of my Province I'd pay the same amount of tuition as a someone from another country.
