How do I tell my dad?

Question:
I thought my grades were going to turn out alright, but they BITE. I'm in college and I have a full scholarship. THere is a good chance that come fall, I will have lost it (I'm trying to take online classes this summer to avoid that). I feel terrible, because my dad has already paid a lot of money housing me up at college and has invested a lot in my future. I was just lazy and I really messed up. What should I do in the meantime in case I lose the scholarship? How should I tell him? How do I let him know that this is a one-time screw up and that if he pays for college it won't go to waste?

Answer:
Find out how you can do a work-study program to stay in school without your parents having to pay for everything.
I can tell you, College is very expensive.
Honesty is the best policy, I would take to him and tell him you messed up by not working hard enough but you are going to pay for part of school yourself and work very hard next semester. AND graduate!
We all make mistakes. You need to talk to the counselors and see what are your options. Perhaps you can take summer classes to make up for your grades.

God Bless
Talk to him or get a job pay for it yourself.
Lots of college students mess up, but it sucks that you might risk scholarships that are available to you. It's best to be up front and honest with your dad instead of trying to hide something because trust me, he will find out. Maybe this will serve as a wake up call and let you know that being lazy, partying will hurt you. You can't expect to get good grades when you do not go to class. Now that you learned your lesson, I am sure you will work harder. Maybe they will just put you on probation. Best of Luck and it will all work out.
