Question:
I am in my first year of college. I need to go for the spring/summer session. I have scholarships and grants but I cant use them until the fall. What am I suppose to do?
Answer:
You may have to take out a loan. I'm sure you've already filled out your FAFSA (Federal Application for Student Aid) with the school so the next step would be to see what loans you qualify for. Check to see about a Stafford loan. Many loans do not require you to pay them back until 9 months after you graduate.
some colleges let you roll your balance over into a new semester with a late charge. You will want to call your bursar office. I know our office will let you do so if you make a payment of any kind each month.
