My fiance wants to transfer his Montgomery G.I Bill to me so I can finish college...?

Question:
How long does it take to process and what forms do I need to fill out? Can I use that along with FAFSA to pay for college?

Answer:
The Montgomery G.I. Bill isn't usually transferable to spouses. The Army has a unique program that allows for that to happen under certain rules for certain soldiers. My husband is a Marine of 17 years and we've looked into that. For some reason we were under the impression that it was transferable, but it's not. The GI website says only the army offers a transfer program, under very specific criteria. It says the Air Force used to have a program.
gi bill is for the servicemember and it cannot be transferred to spouses or family or anyone else.
you cant even transfer the GI bill to a dependant child..so you aren't going to be able to use it..its for him and him alone
