Question:
Answer:
why not skip scxhol for a few semesters and pay for it yourself. the grafication would be worth the reward
I have went all the way to graduate school on my own - now I have a large student loan debt! If she can and will pay, then she should atleast help. Tell her that you will check into all forms of financial aid, scholarships and work study that your school will have, this way she will not have to pay the full amount. Offer to purchase the extras, such as books, parking passes, and clothes. Be sure that you filled out the FASFA Form - you may can get aid you do not know about - it is a governmental website and all schools require it. www.fafsa.ed.gov You will need your tax returns, etc. Even if she will not pay, there are many other ways to go to college! Find out what they are by speaking with your college financial aid office. Tell her that if you can't depend on her, then you will have to go in debt with student loans! Good luck!
Depend on yourself and get student loans to pay for it, Mom didn't seem to offer to help you with college so do it on your own
Pay for your own education, little man. Work and attend school simultaneously; I did, and so did thousands of others.
Tell me how you "know" your mom can afford to pay your way; do you do her financial reports and her tax returns? I'll bet you don't.
P.S. Hey, Gradgirl: "I have went.."? "HAVE WENT...?" How in the name of God did you get to grad school?!
That's horrible! Your family doesn't seem to take good care of you. I have a friend who works 80 hours some weeks to pay for college because his parents won't chip in and I never get to see him. Your parents have an obligation to you. First try asking her, then remind her of her obligation.
Get a job. Hell, get TWO. I put myself through quite a few years ago, and am still proud of it.
