They want to vote, they are citizens already, as you have pointed out, they should be allowed to make their voices heard.
I going to have to agree with Joe M on this one.
They need to be kicked out of the country. We have a legal process here for getting into the country. They should use it. It takes 10 minutes to fill out the paperwork.
You forgot the "3 hots and a cot" enjoyed by 17% of the Federal Prison population that happens to be illegal. By some estimates it is as high as 40% in State prisons in California and Texas, all of which is on our dime.
Actually you are waaaay inaccurate. Some have some of those things.
They want justice.
They probably want fair pay for fair labor.
They want the protection of labor and safety laws.
They want protection under the law from abuse threats intimidation.
They don't want to worry about being arrested and deported.
But then you Americans don't know squat about justice.
Why do you think they want citizenship?

Who knows why they want citizenship. May be they want to vote and latter some stage enter politics. If can not become a president, at least try to grab the Immigration ministry under their control. There could be one reason or more than one reason. When you say, they already have all the practical benefits of being a citizen, Why don't you make them technically a citizen. When people say Illegal are criminals, tell me is there no criminal in our society. A lot of them we have are worst than criminals.
You only say WHERE FREEDOM SUFFERS; WE WILL BE THERE. In reality you Denny freedom to people in the name of illegal. What a double standard we have today in this amazing world.

Im Puertorican and with soo much pride.. so u can say that yes i migrated to the us.. even though is not the same.. but it gets me soo mad how ppl just love hurting other just because of here country, color or what ever... they say this is the freedom land but really is not...
If there were no economic advantages to coming across the border illegally, with all its risks, it would not happen in the numbers that it does.

The U.S. already allows more legal immigration from other countries than other countries do.
Once here(and comparatively comfortable), with all the current benefits they do receive (even if the benefits fall short of full legal benefits), it becomes easier to forget the "little" fact that they came here without legal permission - they start to want the rights of those who came legally.
It seems a small thing, a question of paperwork only.
From what I've seen (not all, but enough!) don't mind TRESSPASSING onto anothers property, if they think the homeowner won't raise a protest - or, if they (homeowner, again) do, it will take the Police too long to come out and remove them.

Scofflaws illegally in another's country don't deserve full rights, IMO. That goes for Americans doing the same thing - going across either border illegally. What kind of treatment would we expect at the hands of their legal system?
Logic would seem to dictate that if one does not care to follow the rules of the place in which they live, that they would make poor citizens.
If you wanted to have a quiet war, without a shot being fired, you would do exactly as they are doing, IMO.
If Americans, and those here legally, cannot see that their own lot and the lot of their CHILDREN is being jepardized by the current situation (which seem to serve only the truly rich of both political stripes), then any hope held by the lower economic classes already here is in vain - we (as a nation)might as well be committing social and economic suicide right now.
Question - if illegals would be such great examples of citizenry, why did they choose to ignore the LAWS of THIS country? What do they have/WANT to gain with the power of voting?
Why not STAY at HOME and try to create a better place for THEIR children and the PEOPLE with whom they SHARE the same ethnic, religious and ideallogical backround?
Easier to USURP (Read that: "push the current population out and take over an already made area - because of FAILURE of the melting pot to disperse a population that won't melt (it happens!)")someone else's property and HARD-WON SUCCESS in a peaceful place than go to all the "WORK"... of having to sort out the **** that was left behind, and would not fight for. Yeah - we need more Puritans like that, IMO)
Use it, or lose it - and quit apologizing - for others who don't share your feelings, and for the guilt (you got from where?.. ) - it is a tool that the unscrupulous will use, to separate you from your inheritance - or will you give it all away?
